On June 23, 2014, Sensei Jerry Figgiani, president and founder of Shorin Ryu Karatedo International, evaluated Sensei David Hogsette and conferred upon him international rank recognition for his San Dan (third degree black belt) in Shorin Ryu Karate. Sensei Hogsette’s rank is now officially recognized in Okinawa, allowing him to train with various Okinawan masters.
